Marina Skate Park

Marina Skate Park brought the backyard pool, a core feature of skate boarding’s history, into a city-funded public space. With authentic pool coping, it provided advanced terrain without excluding everyday users. The project demonstrated how municipalities could preserve skate culture while delivering safe, inclusive recreation. Marina showed that specialized features could be thoughtfully integrated into public parks, supporting a wide range of users and enhancing community appeal.
